James Salisbury

James helped Wigan Athletic gain promotion into the Premiership.

James is yet another J4K keeper who started his career at a very young age, in fact James has been around professional football clubs since he was six years old!

James signed for Blackburn Rovers when he was just six and was with the Premiership club for several years until, at the age of sixteen, he signed a two year YTS deal with Burnley.. with a one year apprentice contract added on.. as he impressed so much.

From Burnley, James signed for Premiership Scottish giants Celtic before returning to the North West and signing for Wigan Athletic where he helped them gain promotion into the Premiership. Wigan loaned James out to Halifax Town were he sustained a sickening injury (dislocated shoulder). Once fit again he signed for Kendal Town FC and helped them gain promotion into the Unibond premier division. It was while he was at Rossendale United, that he again dislocated his shoulder.

James is only twenty two and is determined to still play at a high standard. However, the more he coaches goalkeepers in his own area the more he sees becoming a Goalkeeper Coach, in particular with J4K, as a new challenge to run alongside his determination to play professional football again. This guy is an outstanding individual.. and anyone coached by James, should consider themselves very fortunate indeed.
