Mark signing for Southampton

Mark catching under pressure!

"Just4Keepers has been running successfully now for the past seven years; and over this time period we at J4K have produced more schoolboy goalkeepers than any of our top professional clubs."

Ray Newland - J4K Founder

Mark Harrison

Flying the Flag for Oxfordshire Keepers

Mark is a VASTLY experienced UEFA A goalkeeper coach who has travelled worldwide to pass on his knowledge of goalkeeping.

Mark started his career at Nottingham Forrest before moving to premiership club Southampton. He then transferred to Port Vale and played there for a further three seasons before being sold to their Potteries neighbours Stoke City F.C playing in the old 1st Division (Now the Premiership) and making his Man of the Match debut against Manchester United F.C. at Old Trafford. Whilst at Stoke Mark was coached by Bob Wilson and the greatest goalkeeper to ever grace the planet, Gordon Banks.

Two years later following a succession of injuries Mark crossed the world to sign for South African Premier League team Hellenic F.C. where he was later voted South African Goalkeeper of the Year.

On his return to the UK he played for Conference clubs Kettering Town F.C. Stafford Rangers F.C. and Telford United F.C.

A serious knee injury ended his career at the age of 28 Mark returned to Cape Town and started his coaching career with Clyde Pinelands F.C. in the South African 3rd division and after two seasons he returned to UK to join Bristol City as Youth Coach.

Mark then joined premiership club Everton as their first full time goalkeeper coach, coaching the great Neville Southall MBE who was the number one goalkeeper in the world at the time Mark stayed with Everton for two years before taking the Managers role with Stafford Rangers in the Conference before becoming a goalkeeper coach for Tranmere Rovers, Oldham Athletic, Mansfield Town, Sheffield United and Notts County.

Two years later Mark moved to Oxford United F.C. (Then Championship) taking the position of Youth and reserve Coach and later becoming Assistant Manager for the first team. Five years later Mark left the UK to take the 'National Team Coach' position with Bangladesh competing in the World Cup qualifiers!!!!

He then moved back to Cape Town to coach Ex Manchester United Quinton Fortunes team, F.C. Fortune for two seasons before moving on to the Maldives for a season to coach Hurriya F.C. Now back in the UK and working for Bolton Wanderers F.C as a Southern Area Academy Scout, Mark is keen to pass on his knowledge and experience to develop the next generation of goalkeepers with J4K.

Just4keepers is hugely proud to have such a well experienced, well travelled goalkeeper coach. The Oxfordshire goalkeepers are in for a huge treat!
