Flying the Flag for South Yorkshire Keepers
We do not need to introduce this guy, and for the young goalkeepers of the South Yorkshire area who want to be coached to become a professional goalkeeper, they are in for a treat.. to be coached by an ex England International.. Could you ask for more!
Kev started his career in 1983 with Sheffield Wednesday, where he made an impressive 487 first team appearances for the club. Amazingly scoring 4 times over this period for his team.
Other clubs Kev has played for are Leicester City, Coventry City, Mansfield Town and a spell on loan to Stoke City. He still plays to this day for Portadown FC, who are currently top of the league in Northern Ireland.
As well as his impressive spate of top-flight clubs, Kev has also represented his Country over several years.
He was an England schoolboy International, and also represented England at the U18, U19, and U21 level.
As well as representing England B he has also been selected four times for the full England squad!
Just some of the countries Kev played against include; Poland, Chile, N,Ireland, Czech Rep, Mexico, Brazil, Germany, Holland, France, Spain, China, Kuwait, Uruguay, Argentina, South Korea, Russia and Italy!
As well as this highly distinguished playing career Kev's coaching experiences are just as good, with him coaching for the Sheffield Wednesday academy and being the 1st team goalkeeper coach for Mansfield Town and Leicester City. He not only has is UEFA B badge, but also his UEFA B Goalkeeper badge.

Hi, my son has recently signed for Barnsley FC under 9's as goalkeeper would he be able to come to your training sessions or would he have to clear it with the club first?
