Specialist Girls
The Football Association says 'THANK YOU' to Just4Keepers
Recently, the girls section of the Just4Keepers academy were invited to watch the England squad train at Melwood (Liverpool FC training ground). This was just before England's last friendly (against Uruguay) prior to the world cup 2006.
As a special treat the girls were allowed to watch former England International legend 'Ray Clemence' (who once offered our very own J4K coach Ray Newland a professional contract) put the England 1st choice keepers, Paul Robinson and Robert Green through their paces.

The girls giving some tips to England legend Ray Clemence!

The girls with Robert Green and Paul Robinson:
Ashleigh Newland, Paige Wilkinson, Michelle Davies,
Courtney Cruikshanks, Emily Clarke, Stacey Kelley
and Carina Sweeney
The girls from J4K were invited by the "Liverpool Capital of Culture" and the "Football Association" as a show of appreciation for J4K setting up their project to encourage girls to get involved with sport through goalkeeping. J4K will shortly be taking their specialist goalkeeper coaching to girls in schools.
This venture will be called 'Girls with a Goal!'
Some quotes from the girls:
"I am going to be the next England women's goalkeeper!"- Ashleigh Newland
"It was the best day of my life, meeting Paul Robinson!"- Michelle Davies
"I want to be a professional goalkeeper like Paul and Rob!"- Paige Wilkinson
"The best week I have EVER had!"- Emily Clarke
"When you see these guys in action, you really have to wonder why our professional clubs go abroad for goalkeepers! Robert and Paul are without doubt up there with any foreign keeper these TV pundits keep going on about! Its about time OUR professional clubs started giving our own keepers a chance, rather than opting for mediocre foreign keepers!"
Ray Newland
